How to be an active alum

1. Keep in touch with underclassmen who haven’t graduated yet!

-Networking is a KEY in life - you never know if these people will work with you or for you one day

-These classmates could use your experiences as guidance, just like other Alumni have done for you


2. Keep in contact with any clubs or organizations you graduated from at CSUF!

-They would love to continue their relationship with you since because of the experience you gained over the past four years and are an

-You can be excellent source of guidance, come to events, and even be a guest speaker


3. Keep in contact with the your professors whom you have built good relationships with!

-Professors are just as happy to see you doing great things and being successful as you are

-They can write letters of recommendation for you

-They are also a great connection resource for anything having to do with campus and possibly mentoring other students

PRO TIP: Add them on LinkedIn and send an email saying hello and ask if there is anything you can do for the program. They’d love to hear from you!


4. Be involved in the student recruitment program at your career *If applicable

-This can give CSUF graduate candidates more exposure in your career field

-Again, networking is so important!


5. Join CSUF's Alumni Association to ensure you do not miss any opportunities to get involved!
